Carver's 444 Motor Yacht was added to the Carver fleet in 2000. Based on the company's earlier 396, a cockpit was added to take full advantage of all watersport activities. This yacht features Carver's signature raised walk-deck design that allows for a wider, much roomier cabin than other yachts this size. This provides the "great room" effect which brings together the galley, salon and seating into a single social setting.

The 444 is a fully functional yacht sporting plenty of space, a good turn of speed, and all the comforts of home. What really brings some elegance to the 444 is the cherry wood cabinetry and trim throughout the entire boat. The salon features UltraLeather furniture for ultra comfort. Two steps down, there's a fully equipped galley. The 444 also has two staterooms, both with queen-sized berths and their private head/shower plus plenty of storage space.

On the bridge you can relax with an L-shaped lounge that seats five and a wet bar that provides convenient bottle storage. The elegant aft deck offers a hardtop that covers the entire deck, plus an electronics arch and the convenience of an integral bridge stairway and wing doors.

The design flexibility of this Carver motor yacht gives you the choice of two interior configurations. The 444 interior features an expansive starboard lounge and convenient breakfast bar in the salon. The ES (Extended Salon) Edition is a more open design which provides a dinette and an L-shaped portside lounge. In addition, the 444 includes a cockpit for water activities, and sliding door access to the master stateroom (aft).

Its twin 370 HP Cummins Diamond Edition diesels really get this cruiser rolling, and once underway she is a good performer with a stable ride thanks to her 14-foot beam. These in-line 6's have a relatively narrow envelope, which saves big space in the engine room. Walker Airseps keep the space clean, and the turbochargers provide plenty of torque in the mid-range.

Out on the water, the 444 turns in a top speed of 32.5 mph at 3000 rpm, with a best cruise of more than 27 mph at just 250 rpm off wide-open throttle. Given her fuel burn rate of just 28.6 gallons per hour at best cruise, she'll go for nearly 300 miles on a fill up, and she preforms admirably around the docks.
